What is Vinyl Flooring and why choose it over other types of flooring?

Mostly when people talk about vinyl flooring they mean vinyl sheet but this is not the same as luxury vinyl. Luxury vinyl is a competitor of laminates that take the vinyl core with other layers added to create planks and tiles. In this way, luxury vinyl can look shockingly similar to real hardwood, concrete, tile, and stone floors. But they still make a floor that is relatively inexpensive, more durable and better looking than laminate and hardwood flooring. Luxury vinyl flooring is also super easy to clean and maintain. Some mild soap and water can do wonders but a great cleaning product is also Bona.

With an active family with kids, pets and a lot of life happenings; that natural beauty and majesty of wooden flooring are damaged effortlessly. They are quite sensitive to high hell strokes and jagged claws even if you give up the hard-poly finishing layer. But regardless of these many downsides, all homeowners allure the vibrant looks and sheen of natural wood. That’s where Luxury Vinyl Flooring can rescue your wishful thinking.

Luxury vinyl is often called resilient flooring because it is tough, durable, and waterproof. It takes the natural resilience of vinyl with the ability to bounce back after being compressed underfoot. The reason for its durability is its wear layer of 6 to 20 mil. You can adjust the thickness of the wear layer keeping in view the anticipated foot traffic. However, the thicker the wear layer the more long-lasting the vinyl flooring would be.

Types of Luxury Vinyl Flooring

Looking for an economical and durable alternative to hardwood and laminate flooring? Luxury Vinyl Plank  is the way to go. It’s the most popular flooring option on the market today and can give your home the inviting and expensive feel of hardwood.

Luxury vinyl floor is available in planks and tiles. Each type has its unique look and installation properties.

Stone Plastic Composite (SPC)

SPC is an engineered type of luxury vinyl flooring. It has an extremely durable core thanks to the combination of limestone and stabilizers but it’s also more flexible and has a higher resistance to heat than other types of vinyl flooring. SPC Luxury Vinyl Planks are manufactured with improved texture feel and variety of colors and types.

SPC vinyl planks can be installed in practically any room even in high moisture areas like kitchen and bathrooms. It is long-lasting, waterproof and is easy to take care of, because of scratch resistance thicker and beefier wearing layer.

Luxury Vinyl Plank or Luxury Vinyl Floor is the most economical and durable alternative to hardwood and laminate flooring.

Wood Plastic Composite (WPC)

WPC Luxury Vinyl is manufactured with a wood-plastic composite backing instead of solid PVC backing. Its main benefit is the cork layer underneath, which helps with soundproofing and also adds extra strength and stability. WPC is thicker than other types of luxury vinyl planks and has the most realistic wood look and feel and is also 100% waterproof. With that being said, it is also one of the more expensive luxury vinyl options. WPC Luxury vinyl is slightly less dense and feels like real hardwood to the touch. This type also uses a click locking system, which means it does not require glue or additional underlayment.
