Stone Plastic Composite (SPC) Flooring
SPC flooring is a type of rigid vinyl flooring with a core made from limestone powder, PVC, and stabilizers. This core gives the plank its firm feel, water resistance, and dimensional stability. With a tough stone-polymer core and the look of natural wood or stone, these floors fit Chicago’s unique lifestyle and weather challenges with ease.
Our Stone Plastic Composite Collection
Six styles, ranging from tight-grain oak tones to wide-plank stone finishes, cover the typical needs of residential and light commercial spaces. Janka hardness ratings in this collection run from 950 to 1820, and all planks carry 100% waterproof certification.

SPC History Oak Anise
LWSPC24OHT
A warm honey-toned oak with subtle grain variation across the plank face. At 1360 on the Janka hardness scale, it resists the everyday dents and scuffs that lighter-traffic areas produce. Wipes down completely with a damp cloth and holds its color without fading under direct light.
Eco-friendly- Stain resistant
Scratch resistant- Waterproof
LWSPC24ASB
Layered brown and amber tones with an acacia grain pattern that reads as natural wood at close range. The 1450 Janka rating puts this plank among the harder options in the collection, making it a reliable fit for dining rooms and kitchens where chair legs and furniture make daily contact with the surface.

LWSPC24HOA
The hardest plank in the collection at 1820 on the Janka scale. Spice-toned hues and a defined oak grain combine with maximum dent resistance and full waterproofing, making this the most practical option for kitchens, entryways, and mudrooms where both foot traffic and moisture are consistent factors.

SPC Crafted

Mountain Prime Rainier SPC

Mountain Prime Elbert SPC
LWSPC24CRF
The Crafted plank uses a contemporary geometric pattern with a smooth matte finish. The scratch-resistant wear layer holds up in offices and hallways, and its neutral tone pairs with a wide range of cabinet and wall colors without competing for visual attention.

Scratch resistant- Waterproof
LWSPC24MPR
A cooler-toned stone-look plank for open-plan spaces and larger rooms. The rigid core retains its shape under heavy furniture without gapping or buckling, and the matte finish does not show scuffs the way high-gloss finishes do.
Eco-friendly- Stain resistant
Scratch resistant- Waterproof
LWSPC24MPE
A dark, rich finish with high-contrast grain detail. The SPC core delivers the same dimensional stability as every plank in this collection, and the deeper color tone works particularly well in rooms with natural light, where it holds depth without fading or shifting in color over time.

How SPC Flooring Is Built
Every SPC plank is built from four layers, each with a specific job.
Wear Layer
Handles daily abrasion from foot traffic, pet claws, and furniture movement. Residential-grade SPC runs 12 mil or higher; thicker wear layers extend the floor's useful life in high-traffic rooms.
Design Layer
Carries the high-resolution wood or stone print. The image is rendered at a resolution that reads as textured grain at close range, not as a flat surface photograph.

SPC Core
The dense limestone-and-PVC mixture that cannot absorb water, does not flex under load, and does not expand or contract with temperature changes the way wood-fiber cores do. This layer is what separates SPC from standard LVP.
Attached Backing
A foam pad pre-bonded to the underside of the plank. It dampens sound transmission between floors and smooths minor subfloor contact without requiring a separate underlayment purchase.

What Our Clients Say

Ready for Waterproof Rigid-Core Flooring?
SPC Flooring: Frequently Asked Questions
Is SPC flooring fully waterproof?
Yes. The stone-composite core is non-porous. Water at the surface or seam level does not penetrate or damage the plank.
How is SPC different from standard LVP?
The core. LVP uses a flexible PVC core; SPC uses a stone-composite core that is denser, more rigid, and more dimensionally stable under temperature swings and heavy loads.
Can SPC be installed in a basement?
Yes. It is one of the few hard-surface options rated for below-grade installation without gapping or buckling risk.
Can SPC go over existing flooring?
In most cases, yes, over concrete, tile, or hardwood, provided the subfloor is flat and dry. Our team confirms this on every site visit.
How long does SPC flooring last?
20-25 years under normal residential conditions. Wear layer thickness is the main factor in longevity.
Is SPC good for homes with pets?
Yes. For large or active dogs, choose a plank with a Janka rating above 1200, such as Acacia Samba Brown or History Oak Anise.
How do you clean SPC flooring?
Sweep or vacuum regularly to remove grit, then damp mop with a pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid steam mops; concentrated heat affects the seams and backing over time.
Can you match the repaired section to my existing floor?
The timeline depends on the extent of the damage. While emergency response happens within 24 hours, full restoration typically takes 3–7 days.
